Our Story

LifeChange International, established in 2001, is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to transform the lives and living conditions of people around the world.

For many years LifeChange has worked in Uganda building schools; supporting Dwelling Places, a children’s home; providing for the education of thousands of children; assisting in community social needs; buying land for farming; establishing youth trade education programs (such as carpentry, tailoring, computer technology) and building dormatories. We are currently looking to raise an additional $25,000 that will house 64 Ugandan teens in our Youth Development Program.

In Mexico, LifeChange has participated in building many homes for people living in appalling conditions in the colonia’s just outside of Juarez. In May 2011, LifeChange once again sent a team to build 3 homes in one week. At the same time, we took food, clothing and medical supplies to encourage and meet needs of those struggling in the surrounding community.

PhilippinesIn the Philippines, much has happened in this past year. Ex-Marine Captain Jack Fairweather and his wife Tammy are rescuing children living on the streets and in appalling neglect, providing them a wonderful home. Currently around 20 children are living in three homes, receiving an education, food, a safe home, and medical care. In the coming months we are hoping to raise an additional $25,000 to purchase land and build an additional home for these children.

LifeChange is also involved in medical missional work, other health projects and education programs in the Middle East. In addition, we help support a family in Hungary who are engaged in marriage and family counseling throughout Europe. Here in the states we support a woman from Turkey who, after her husband was murdered for his faith as a Christian, moved to the States for her own safety and to share a message of forgiveness, grace and love to the Islamic community here.

To date, LifeChange has maintained a policy of sending 100% of all donations directly to the work donors specify. No portion is taken for publicity, promotion, offices and other support costs.
